Re: defective Britta filters


I have been buying your Britta water filters for my kitchen tap for the past 12 years. At the beginning, each Britta used to last for at least three months. Lately, however, for the past 2 years, I have been experiencing a lot of trouble with my brand new Britta tap filters. The last one I bought from Cosco about two weeks ago, didn't even last for two weeks, then it began to flash the red light. I changed the top and put another Britta filter, which only lasted for two days, and then began to flash a red light again.

I would like to inform you that I am a senior citizen with a limited fixed income. I like to buy quality products that are very expensive, such as yours, but at least they perform the way they are supposed to do. I cannot afford to waste my money. I have wasted at least 6 previous Britta purchases, at about $42.00 each. I would like to understand why these tap filters are not functioning? Is it because the electronic filter indicator doesn't work? Why did they work a couple of years ago, and now they are defective? I really don't understand what is happening. / just hope that in your guest for exceeding profits, you did not cut corners, and began to compromise the integrity of your product, just like Toyota did with their cars, during the past couple of years.

I hope you will make proper restitution for the my six previous purchases, otherwise, I will have to complain to the Consumer Protection Agency, Better business Bureau, and consumer television programms such as CBC's "Market Place," and Radio Canada's "La Facture."
